Two members of the scientific staff at ETH Zurich's Institute of Technology in Architecture, Andrei Jipa and Angela Yoo, helped bring this impressive monster sculpture to life. Through their joint start-up, Contouro, they are applying the knowledge they have gained at ETH Zurich to create elegant solutions for complex architecture.
Jipa and Yoo have created a walk-in installation using wood, steel and concrete, inspired by a 30-centimetre clay model created by British artist Monster Chetwynd. The result is a unique hybrid work that seamlessly blends elements of art, architecture and play space in an unexpected manner.
Inauguration of the sculpture
The Zardoz sculpture will be officially inaugurated in the Garden of Art on 14 September 2025. Further information (in German only) on the external page Website of Kunsthaus Zurich
