Rössler Prize
The R?ssler Prize is a special honour for promising young scientists in the middle of an accelerating career. It is financed by the external page ETH Zürich Foundation since 2009 based on a generous endowment by Dr R?ssler.
Laureates receive CHF 200,000 for their research.
The R?ssler Prize is awarded to a young professor of ETH Zurich who is characterised by scientific excellence in research and teaching.
Candidates are identified by the Office of Research in collaboration with various staff units and committees of ETH Zurich. The awardee is then determined by a jury composed of the members of the ETH Executive Board and a prize committee. Dr R?ssler is informed about their selection before it is announced.
The award ceremony takes place during the summer on the occasion of the annual Thanksgiving Event of the ETH Zürich Foundation.
