Action Plan for Young Researchers
ETH Zurich has developed an action plan to improve the experiences and research outcomes of its young researchers (Postdocs, Established Researchers, Scientific Assistants, and Scientific Collaborators).
The university has received a external page grant from swissuniversities, the umbrella organization of higher education in Switzerland, to partially offset the cost of these changes.
The action plan runs from January 2025 until September 2026 and addresses the following four areas of concern for postdocs: onboarding, community building, career and research support, and career tracking. Important developments and announcements regarding specific measures will be documented on this website.
Postdoc Sounding Board
The Grants Office is recruiting Young Researchers (Postdocs, Established Researchers, Scientific Assistants, and Scientific Collaborators) to join the newly established Postdoc Sounding Board. The Board will help guide the implementation of the Action Plan for Young Researchers. In order to achieve maximum effectiveness within the action areas, the Postdoc Sounding Board will be tasked with providing feedback on potential measures.
