Admission requirements with non-Swiss matriculation certificate*
* and Swiss educational qualifications, which do not allow admission without entrance examination.

Please note: Under "Ausl?ndische Vorbildungsausweise" you will find the admission requirements for the "International Baccalaureate", "European Baccalaureate" and "International Advanced Level + International GCSE".

There are three types of admission to the first semester of the desired Bachelor’s degree programme:
- Admission without entrance examination
- Admission contingent upon passing the Download reduced entrance examination (PDF, 234 KB) (4 examination subjects)
- Admission contingent upon passing the Download comprehensive entrance examination (PDF, 258 KB) (8 examination subjects)

We can only ascertain whether you need to sit an ETH entrance
examination (reduced or comprehensive) after receiving your complete
application in eApply.
Language requirements
The main teaching language in all Bachelor’s degree programmes is German. However, some individual courses may be conducted in English or French. Prospective Bachelor’s students must satisfy our language requirements to be admitted. This may mean submitting a certificate of proficiency in German.
