Billing and Refund - European Health insurance card
How to claim your money back
- You do not have to contact the insurance company in your home country if you have your exemption or have submitted a request for exemption!

- The reimbursement is made by the external page Gemeinsame Einrichtung KVG in Olten. It is responsible for the whole of Switzerland.
- If you have any questions, please contact the external page Gemeinsame Einrichtung KVG directly.
A) After a visit to the doctor
Note: there is a external page lump sum of CHF 92 (the amount you have to pay yourself) per case of sickness within the frame of 30 days. Example: in case of fever you can see a doctor 4 times within 30 days and pay CHF 92 only once.

- Wait for the doctor’s bill that is usually sent to your address a few weeks after the treatment. The letter includes the bill with a payment slip and a reimbursement certificate ("Rückforderungsbeleg").
- Pay the bill within the payment period mentioned on the bill.
- Send all required documents to or by post to: Gemeinsame Einrichtung KVG, Industriestrasse 78, 4600 Olten)
