Finding a professor
You have to find a suitable research supervisor (professor) by yourself. Visit the websites below to find current research projects in your field.
The Reception Service cannot help you with the search for a supervisor. The Swiss government provides helpful information.
Contacting a professor
Include – at least – the following.
- Letter of motivation
- Tip 1: Declare your interest in collaborating on a specific research project. Explain your academic background.
- Tip 2: Include the link to the external page Swiss government's website in case the professor is not yet familiar with the scholarship

- CV
- Two to three convincing letters of reference
- Transcripts and diplomas
- Research plan (two to three A4 pages)

The invitation letter is part of your application. The complete application must be submitted via www.go.eskas.ch. For more information check external page Swiss government's website.
The selection and and announcement take place in Spring. FCS will inform you directly about the result.
