Leading Student Teams
Hands-on leadership training for students in active leadership roles
Are you leading a team in a student initiative at ETH – like a Fachverein, commission, competition team, or another student-led group (e.g. a project-based course)?
Do you want to grow as a leader, build stronger teams, and handle the challenges of peer leadership more confidently?
Then this workshop is for you. In a 5-hour, in-person session, you’ll explore practical tools and strategies to help you lead with clarity, confidence, and care. The focus is on real-world challenges student leaders face and how to handle them with skill and reflection. Kerrin and Rosina will guide you through this interactive workshop and enable your learning.
What you will do:
- Reflect on your leadership style and learn to adapt it to different
situations - Practice giving and receiving feedback in a clear, constructive way
- Understand what makes teams work well — from psychological safety to collaboration
- Explore how to motivate and engage your team sustainably
- Navigate conflict and tension with confidence
- Strengthen your self-leadership, because you can’t pour from an empty cup
