external page Schwarz IT offers the following internship to motivated ETH Zurich BSc or MSc students who want to expand their practical knowledge and skills in computer vision, are interested in AI technologies, and already have experience in data science and machine learning.
Schwarz IT is the central IT service provider responsible for selecting, providing, operating, and further developing IT solutions for companies of the Schwarz Group, including Lidl, Kaufland, PreZero, and Schwarz Produktion.
This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an innovative Computer Vision team. You’ll join a motivated and international group within Schwarz IT that develops Computer Vision solutions—ranging from prototypes and pilot projects to fully operationalized products.
Your Tasks
- Support and collaborate with Computer Vision and software developers in their daily work.
- Take on project tasks independently within the team.
- Gain insights into modern machine learning methods and contribute to their development, covering the full lifecycle from proof of concept to operational Computer Vision products.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc (ETH Zurich students only)
- You're eager to deepen your practical knowledge in the field of Computer Vision
- You're interested in AI technologies and already have some experience in Data Science and Machine Learning
- You have practical programming experience in Python, C++, or Rust
- You're familiar with (or willing to learn) technologies such as Git, Microsoft Azure, ArgoCD, Docker, and Kubernetes
- You possess strong analytical skills and a high level of initiative.
- You can communicate effectively in German (B2/C1) and English (C1)
Good to Know
- Start date: July to September 2025
- Duration: 8 – 12 Weeks
- Work location: The internship is expected to be carried out entirely on-site at Schwarz IT, Olgastra?e 57, 74072 Heilbronn. Full-time presence (5 days per week) is required.
- Financial support: Travel expenses and accommodation are covered. A monthly salary of EUR 2,100 is provided.
