CESAER is a network of some 50 research-intensive universities of science and technology engineering universities in Europe. CESAER promotes excellence and cooperation in engineering education and research and acts as the united voice of its members in Europe.

The European University Association represents and supports higher education institutions in 47 countries, providing them with a unique forum to cooperate and keep abreast of the latest trends in higher education and research policies.

IAESTE is an organisation for the exchange of students at higher education institutions wishing to obtain technical experience abroad. The aim of IAESTE is to provide science and engineering students with training experience abroad and to be a source of cultural enrichment for trainees and their host employers.

Sustainable Development Solutions Network is a global network under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General. It promotes integrated approaches to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change through education, research, policy analysis and global collaboration.

National organisations and networks

KFPE promotes efficient, effective, and equitable research cooperation with developing and transition countries. By doing so, KFPE contributes to sustainable development and to solving global problems. KFPE acts as a knowledge broker between research partners as well as between researchers and practice-oriented actors in government, administration, and business.

NaTech Education fosters the interest for science and technology among elementary school and secondary school children. In addition it supports the design of new appropriate teaching material and contributes to include educational objectives, which are key to the understanding of technology and science, in the curriculum of the elementary school.

Swissuniversities, the Rectors' Conference of the universities, universities of applied science and arts, and universities of teacher education in Switzerland, works to strengthen and enhance collaboration among Swiss institutions of higher education and promotes a common voice on education and research issues in Switzerland. Swissuniversities also performs coordination tasks and acts on the international level as the national rectors' conference of Switzerland.
