Research Commission

The Research Commission provides advice on research-related matters to the Vice-President for Research (VPR) and other members of ETH's Executive Board. Its main task is to evaluate the applications for ETH's internal funding programmes and to make corresponding recommendations to the VPR.

The commission is divided into three discipline-oriented subcommissions. The commission as a whole and each of the subcommissions are headed by a president. The commission's work is supported by the Grants Office and in particular by the Executive Secretary.

Steering board

Subcommission I (SC I)

The Research Commissions brings together engineering sciences and architecture, earth and climate sciences, social sciences and the humanities as well as informatics.

Subcommission II (SC II)

Subcommission II represents life, health and environmental sciences.

Subcommission III (SC III)

This subcommission is home to the natural sciences and mathematics.
