Marco Mazzotti receives CCS Award

Marco Mazzotti, Professor of Process Engineering at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT), receives the 2021 SINTEF and NTNU CCS Award for his research on carbon dioxide capture and storage systems.

The SINTEF and NTNU CSS Award is presented every two years at the Trondheim Conference on CO2 Capture, Transport and Storage (TCCS). It is given for outstanding achievements within the field of carbon capture, transport and storage (CCS), including the promotion and increase of public understanding of CCS as well as the contribution to international cooperation within CCS.

Marco Mazzotti receives the award for being at the forefront of the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) community, working with the overarching goal to advance CCS, accelerate its deployment, and improve its understanding in the technical and civil society.

The award is supported by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the “Stiftelsen for industriell og teknisk forskning” (SINTEF), an independent research organization in Norway.
