This autumn, ETH becomes a stage for transformation — where sustainability turns science into art and awakens a new responsibility for our resources.
From Waste to Resources

Led by ETH Sustainability and the GreenLabs Initiative, the transdisciplinary Art of Transformation campaign is inspired by the work of artist external page Saki. She transforms leftover laboratory materials — such as reagent bottles, gloves and plastic components — into poetic artworks with tangible meaning.
From Discard to Discovery
What was once obsolete becomes a new discovery: the ETH campus and its laboratories transform into a stage of change, where creativity meets science and sustainability becomes a shared act of imagination.
Teamwork – A Chandelier to greet Visitors at ETH
With the support of ETH laboratories, leftover materials were collected until 25 November to create a collaborative artwork: a chandelier that Saki completed live on 26 November 2025 in ETH’s Main Building. In this moment of encounter, science became an act of creativity, and art a source of inspiration for renewed resource awareness and more sustainable research.
