New AI research tool ScienceDirect AI now available to ETH members

With ScienceDirect AI, the ETH Library offers a new AI-supported research tool that assists researchers in searching, analysing and summarising scientific literature.

ScienceDirect AI is designed to support researchers by simplifying access to peer-reviewed literature. It combines generative AI with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to deliver precise answers to complex questions, compare study results, and provide targeted literature recommendations. All results include transparent source citations with direct full-text access.

Key Features at a Glance:

  • Answering subject-specific questions in natural language
  • Structured comparison of study results
  • Targeted literature search
  • Source linking with direct full-text access

ScienceDirect AI complements existing tools such as Consensus, Scopus AI, and Scite. Access is available directly via the ScienceDirect platform within the ETH network.

ScienceDirect?AI uses generative AI to create answers. Results may be incomplete, misleading, or incorrect. Please do not rely solely on AI-generated content; conduct additional research and critically review the results.
