Industries and Associations

Almost every industry and every profession/function in Switzerland has at least one corresponding organization or association.  

A job consists of two characteristics: the function and the industry in which it occurs. These can be very close to your ETH studies, but they can also be further away. Here an example of an MSc ETH in Electrical Engineering and corresponding entry-level job opportunities:

So there are far more possibilities open to you than you might have thought at first. It is therefore worthwhile to think in depth about both functions and industries. Your interest in an industry will then lead you to the various possible employers.

Search the Internet with the appropriate keywords - from the Association of Swiss Architects to the Association of Swiss Cylindrical Grinders you will find an organization for every industry and profession.
