D-ITET: Information Technology and Electrical Engineering
- Examination blocks of the second year of studie are passed (by the time of departure). If the examination period overlaps with the start of the exchange semester, please contact the .
- Core courses substitution: Core courses from the third year of the Bachelor's program and from the Master's program may only be replaced by exchange courses with prior approval from the respective lecturers. A confirmation of equivalence is required.
- Science in Perspective Courses: To have exchange courses recognized as Science in Perspective, prior approval from D-GESS is mandatory. See Study Plan for details.
- Credit Recognition: Credits earned during the exchange are only recognized if approved by the departmental exchange coordinators; credit transfer is not automatic and must be requested. See Study Plan and Returning to ETH for details.
- Master's degree credit recognition: For recognition of credits towards the Master's degree, the agreement of the tutor is also required.
- The following additional conditions apply for these partner universities:
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT): Minimum GPA of 5.5; applications only possible in the 5th semester of the BSc EEIT program; no applications accepted from EPFL graduates.
- University of Texas at Austin: Minimum GPA of 5.5; no applications accepted from EPFL graduates.
- University of Pennsylvania: Minimum GPA of 5.5; exchange is only possible at the Bachelor's level.
- Students with a BSc from EPFL are assigned second priority, i.e. the places will be first allocated to students with a BSc from ETH Zurich.

- Special rules apply to the MSc BME, the MSc EST and the MSc QE (consult the ).
