Fostering innovative teaching and learning at ETH
Innovedum promotes initiatives which contribute to the development of quality education at ETH in the long term. It fosters the education of ETH students to become members of society who are independent thinkers and thus equipped to shape the future.
Innovedum is a brand established by the Rector, combining the terms ?Innovation? and ?Education?.

Project goals Innovedum
- Trial and further development of environments which foster teaching, and of effective supervision vehicles.
- Continual ?re-invention? of ETH as an exceptional learning environment which reflects the prevailing needs of students and teaching staff.
- Enhance networking and exchange of experiences among project leaders and innovation in teaching, which are of great interest to ETH members.
- Harness student innovation potential in the area of teaching and learning.
The Innovedum Fund supports committed lectures and degree programme responsibles in realising innovative teaching projects at ETH Zurich.

Innovedum fosters formats to strengthen the exchange and networking within the ETH faculty as well as the visibility of innovative teaching.
The Learning and Teaching Fair provides a platform for the presentation of innovative teaching projects and for dialogue between project leaders and those interested in teaching as well as the UTL (Unit for Teaching and Learning).
Fresh ideas on innovation topics in teaching, presented in a practical and compact form during the lunch break. At the Refresh Teaching events, the exchange with lecturers takes centre stage. Benefit from the experience of the ETH community. To the next event
Innovedum GetTogether
Share your ideas, innovative approaches, experiences and teaching challenges with colleagues from the ETH faculty community. And make new contacts for future collaborations. The first Innovedum Get Together event took place on 8 January 2025.
