Now that Covid restrictions have been lifted, more and more of us are returning to the workplace and travelling back and forth between locations and institutes again. Here’s an idea for anyone who would rather have company in the car.

Tips and Tricks

How about signing up on HitchHike, the Swiss online platform, and arranging to carpool with other users? Since fall semester 2021, HitchHike has offered ETH and PSI (Paul Scherrer Institute) members a special carsharing service for the external page route between Zurich and PSI in Villigen. Clearly marked HitchHike parking spaces at PSI and on the H?nggerberg campus (taxi rank in front of HIL) mean your journey starts and finishes right on the doorstep.

Use free seats and share costs

And that’s not all: you can use HitchHike for free, and split the travel costs (petrol, parking fee etc.) amongst yourselves. In a shared car, you’ll reach your destination faster than by public transport – and meet new people working in interesting areas.

So simply external page sign up online with your official e-mail address. Make use of HitchHike the next time you travel to PSI, or back to Zurich!
