Georg von Krogh honoured
Professor Georg von Krogh, the new head of the D-MTEC department, has been honoured with the AMD Scientific Impact Award and has been appointed to the Board of the University of Bergen.
We are pleased to announce two outstanding achievements by Professor Georg von Krogh (D-MTEC).
First, he has been awarded the Academy of Management Discoveries (AMD) Award for Scientific Impact. His article “Artificial Intelligence in Organizations: New Opportunities for Phenomenon-Based Theorizing” was recognized as the most impactful guidepost essay in the journal’s 10-year history. The work highlights how artificial intelligence is reshaping organizations, decision-making, and the relationship between humans and technology – offering valuable orientation for both scholars and practitioners.
In addition, Professor von Krogh has been appointed to the Board of the University of Bergen. In this role, he will contribute to shaping the university’s long-term strategic direction and provide guidance on major institutional matters.
These honors underscore both the academic impact and the international recognition of Professor von Krogh’s contributions at the intersection of management, technology, and society.
