Accessibility Espresso – short, powerful and to the point

Digital accessibility has been an important topic at ETH Zurich for several years. The Accessibility Espresso takes up the proven format of the Coffee Lectures and highlights an aspect of accessibility in short presentations.

Key Visual of the Accessibility Espresso series: espresso cup

Most of the content overlaps with the on-demand course offered to raise awareness and provide an introduction to digital accessibility, making it ideal for refreshing existing knowledge.

How does the short format work?

In around 20 minutes, you will receive brief and concise input on a specific aspect of digital accessibility, followed by a time slot for questions. Just the right length of time to enjoy an espresso (or another beverage of your choice).

We serve the Accessibility Espresso every two weeks on Tuesday afternoons. A series of six sessions is currently planned for the period up to January 2026.

Target audience

The format is open to all ETH members, staff and students. The only requirement is an interest in the topic. Participation in several sessions is recommended but not mandatory. The language of this first event series is German.

Accessibility

Access to and participation in our events is designed to be barrier-free. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact in advance so that we can best meet your needs.

Information and presentations

We have made the documents available on the Accessibility Espresso website. There you will also find the presentations from previous Espressi (German only).
