The event is aimed at the entire research community as well as research development and administration staff. The training provides an overview of the following topics:
- Access to Pivot-RP
- Navigation in the database
- Managing personal content (searches, tags, partners, groups)
- Additional features and tips
Quick setup and benefits
Pivot-RP can either be used as a guest on the ETH network (via VPN or SSO) or set up as a personal account using your ETH login details. Users with a personal account benefit from saved searches, email notifications, links to ORCID or Web of Science, as well as personalised funding recommendations and advisor alerts.
Funding opportunities can be searched by keywords, subject areas or global funders worldwide. The "Getting Started" section on the home page offers support for the first steps, including "Tips & Resources" for frequently asked questions.
Research Professional will soon be discontinued. Existing accounts will not be transferred; a new account must be created to use Pivot-RP.
