Management of Academic Services
The management of Academic Services (AkD) is responsible for all personnel and resource-related issues and represents Academic Services in its external relations. It reports to the Rector and is a member of the committee comprising the heads of the administrative departments.
The management coordinates those development processes across ETH in which Academic Services is involved, most notably curriculum reform and its implementation.
Further, the management provides secretarial services to the General Conference and the Lecturers' Conference.
The position Personell, Controlling and Administration supports the management of Academic Services in all administrative matters, especially in the finance, controlling and human resources areas. It also administers and coordinates the awards and honors on the occasion of ETH Day.
The position Communication and Web Coordination ensures that AkD can fulfill its responsibilities in the areas of communication and web. It is responsible for the content of the student portal and for AkD content on the various ETH web platforms. It provides support to other units in the Rectorate with the aim of ensuring coherence in terms of content, layout and quality.
The position Information and Planning is responsible for the administration and coordination of habilitations (Privatdozent:innen, Venia Legendi) as well as public lectures of professors (introductory and farewell lecture) and Privatdozent:innen (inagural lecture).
Further tasks are the coordination of the academic calendar and supporting the Web Coordination.
