Barbara Comiotto has been part of ETH Sustainability since June 2024. As a portfolio collaborator, she supports various projects with a focus on biodiversity, experience design and community engagement. She believes in the transformative power of design and communication that creates connections, sparks innovation and drives sustainable change.  

With more than 20 years of experience in cultural communication, design strategy and project management, she has enabled brands, institutions and communities to engage in meaningful dialogue and develop creative solutions. Her career began with the founding of her own cultural communications company and developed through leadership roles in design strategy and scenography, including her work as Head of Design Strategy & Production at melt. GmbH. Her international experiences, especially in Cairo, have enriched her approach with an intercultural sensitivity. 

Barbara has a Master of Arts and combines her academic background with practical experience in design sprints, innovation workshops and the development of sustainable communication strategies. She is committed to harnessing creative solutions for ecological and social progress through her work.
