Contact Database (KDB)
Do you want to get hold of contact info for ETH employees, lecturers or students? Are you looking to record and manage contact details of people outside the university, for ETH events? The contact database (KDB) is an efficient and reliable tool here.

Equipped with a web form that links directly to event registration, the KDB also helps you organise your event speedily and smoothly.
All contact data is processed in accordance with the strict requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data Protection and the KDB
The KDB at ETH Zurich is operated in accordance with all applicable data protection laws. Protecting personal data is our highest priority.
Personal data is only stored for as long as it is required for the respective purposes. With the 2025.1 release, new functions were introduced that enable the automatic deletion of obsolete and no longer required data.
The KDB offers the option of exporting data. Please note that users are responsible for the correct handling of this data once it has been exported. Exported data should be stored securely and deleted as soon as it is no longer required.

In order to store a person with a Swiss address in our database, the person must be informed in advance about the data storage.
