The next Scientifica will take place from Saturday, 22 August to Sunday, 30 August 2026 at various locations in the city of Zurich and beyond. This will give many scientists from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich the opportunity to make their research accessible to a wide audience.

How we create knowledge

...is the theme of Scientifica 26. Researchers engage in dialogue with visitors in a variety of formats, showing them how research questions lead to new insights – and also why scientific facts are more than just personal opinions.

Whether with an exhibition booth, a lab tour, a workshop or a lecture: all ETH researchers are invited to participate in Scientifica. Shows and other edutainment contributions also attract a great deal of interest.

Scientifica kicks off on Saturday, 22 August at the Dübendorf Innovation Park. On Sunday, 23 August, researchers at the Irchel and H?nggerberg campuses will have the opportunity to offer lab tours, workshops and other formats at their locations. Events are planned throughout the city during the week. To round off the event, we invite the public to the Zentrum campus: we are organising a large exhibition, shows and much more there for the weekend of 29/30 August.

Submission deadline end of January 2026

Projects can be submitted on the internal website until 31 January 2026. Information on the various formats and the planned locations can also be found there.
