Guidelines for lecturers

			Dear ETH teaching cadre,
You are engaged in one of ETH’s main tasks: the training and education of our students. Students want to be encouraged and motivated, and they also want to be challenged. Sometimes, they, and the system, can be challenging too, so we have prepared some guidelines to help you. It is essential that you are aware of the contents, and apply the rules at all times.
These guidelines are updated regularly on the webpages entitled "Guidelines for Lecturers". They direct you quickly to where you can obtain information from the competent specialist unit, be it the Academic Services (AkD) or the Unit for Teaching and Learning (UTL), should you have any questions.
I thank you for your enthusiasm and dedication, and wish you much joy and satisfaction in your teaching.

 Prof. Dr Günther Dissertori, Rector
