Day of Caring for Dependants at ETH Zurich
Since 2024, ETH Zurich has celebrated on the Day of Caring for Dependants the commitment of caregivers and honoured their important role. Employees and students have the opportunity to learn more, share experiences, and find support.
This day is an opportunity to show respect and recognition to supportive people who do care work outside of their professional and academic commitments, and to thank them for their dedication. At the same time, it is intended to encourage them to take care of their own health and quality of life. ETH Zurich took part for the first time in 2024.
With the Day of Caring for Dependants 2025 on October 30, ETH Zurich is also launching a new event series, "We do care - Insights for university members with caregiving responsibilities." This kick-off event provides the framework for an in-depth discussion on the challenges and needs of university members with caregiving responsibilities. Following the event, further events will follow, providing inspiration, creating space for dialogue, and highlighting concrete support options.
